Rassbach Museum to Host Robotics Contest

Rassbach Museum of Dunn County Historical Society will host a robotics contest on February 5. Participants in this competition will be students from the Menomonie region.

The contest will include two levels depending on the experience level of participating children. Old RCX and new NXT LEGO kit models are allowed. Prior experience in robot building is not required for the participants. Extensive support and instructions can be availed for building the robot.

After developing the robots, the robots must remain in a circular ring for about two minutes and should shove its opponent robot out of the ring. Every team must be formed by at least two children in the age group between 9 and 16.

Teams can bring their own NXT or RCX robotics kit for the contest and those teams requiring a LEGO NXT kit can avail any of the 16 kits available.

The contest is organized by the Robotics For Kids program in collaboration with the Rassbach Museum.
