MAG Industrial Automation Receives Order from Lockheed Martin

MAG Industrial Automation Systems has received a new procurement order worth $7 million from Lockheed Martin for its CNC-controlled Auto Drill systems.

The 6-axis automated drilling and trimming systems will be included at the Marietta, GA facility of Lockheed Martin. The delivery is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of this year.

The latest drilling equipments of MAG feature an improved spindle with 24,000 rpm and a MAG head. The MAG head includes built-in vacuum ducting without outside wires and hoses. Wires and hoses are ported via head for averting intervention during the operation of the drilling system.

Lockheed Martin has already procured three MAG Auto Drill systems, which were installed at its Fort Worth facility, located in Texas.
