Sutherland Healthcare Solutions, a subsidiary of Sutherland Global Services, has opened a Healthcare Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Center of Excellence in Hyderabad, India.
The goal of the RPA Center of Excellence will be to help develop, showcase, and implement automation solutions for payers, providers, and accountable care organizations.
"RPA allows business processes to be quickly and easily automated, without the need to create, replace or further develop expensive platforms," Sutherland Healthcare Solutions Head of Strategic Initiatives Amy Grazer said. "This provides a scalable, cost effective solution to improve quality and reduce turnaround time for all players in the healthcare industry."
Sutherland is one of the first service providers to strategically focus on RPA, having been ranked as the number four RPA vendor by leading analyst firm, Horses for Sources, in their 2015 Robotic Premier League.
Since the report, Sutherland has continued to build an extensive team of robotics experts who provide support to ongoing operations to drive operational improvements through current and future engagements. To incentivize employees and encourage innovation, bonuses are available to our healthcare team members for identifying operational areas where RPA can be applied and savings can be achieved on behalf of our clients.
Within the healthcare space, RPA can be applied to a number of functions including coding, data entry, customer care, credentialing, claims processing, and revenue cycle management. Sutherland has applied RPA to a number of processes in the healthcare space and has achieved the following on behalf of our clients:
97% reduction in manual setup time of credentialing files
67% reduction in medical transport appointment scheduling errors
22% productivity improvement in provider data management services
