iAquaLink™ 2.0, the newest version of the company’s award-winning, pool and spa control system from Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. (@ZodiacPool_USA), has been introduced to simplify installation of mobile pool control for both pool professionals and home automation specialists.
In addition, the company is working with major manufacturers of home automation control systems, including both URC® and Crestron®, to integrate AquaLink® pool control systems via iAquaLink wirelessly into two-way control modules that support every important home automation category, including pool/spa, security, door locks, lighting, shades, surveillance, climate, power control and A/V.
iAquaLink, which recently won the People’s Choice “Best Connected Home Product” Internet of Things (IoT) award from Postscapes™, allows pool owners to control their pool and spa anytime, anywhere, using their smart phones and Web-connected devices. This easiest-ever-installation of iAquaLink 2.0 eliminates the need for PCs, cables and software downloads during installation and is compatible with all residential Wi-Fi routers. iAquaLink can be connected via a Wi-Fi hotspot method using a smartphone or tablet computer or by a WPS method using a WPS-enabled router. It takes only minutes to accomplish.
Leading the pool industry in technology advancements and the Internet of Things trend, Zodiac introduced the initial iAquaLink platform three years ago, giving users an app that supported web-based control of their pool and spa from all Web-connected devices, including both iOS and Android devices. With iAquaLink 2.0 Zodiac delivers a secure, scalable, modern technology that is easy to install and that answers the needs of the marketplace: easy, inexpensive, remote monitoring and control of pool pumps, cleaners, lighting, water elements, temperature, and other features. The technology also provides efficient management tools for pool professionals, allowing them to monitor, diagnose, and even reconfigure all their clients’ pools from a single app, without needing to be at the physical location.
“iAquaLink is a robust device platform that allows us to connect the backyard hub with the rest of the home automation system via our two-way controllers,” said Cat Toomey, director of marketing at URC. “Integrators will find customization surprisingly easy and efficient, thanks to our ability to fully implement AquaLink’s features,” she continued. “Our system can access the exact customized labeling that has been set up by the pool professional—maintaining consistency and end-user familiarity between the OEM and URC interfaces—so that labels are all the same automatically.”
The iAquaLink apps are simple and intuitive, and the download of the app and its ongoing Cloud service are free. Attractively priced upgrades are available to support every AquaLink control system. For more information, visit www.iAquaLink.com.
