RobotShop recently declared that it has acquired Illinois-based Lynxmotion. This producer has been designing and creating various kinds of robot parts and kits targeted for the educational market.
Since 2003, RobotShop has served to be the key distributor for Lynxmotion in places such as the USA, Canada, and Europe. Lynxmotion’s customers will take advantage from the integration of its activities within RobotShop’s global infrastructure and core logistics. This vertical integration will promote costs and inventory efficiency in addition to creating a centralized and optimized service structure.
The founder and president of RobotShop, Mario Tremblay deems it an opportunity to adopt Lynxmotion products to construct the robots and continue with Jim Frye’s work. Lynxmotion products support construction of complex robots as those products are highly flexible and of improved quality, and can effectively meet the current advanced educational needs. Following the acquisition, RobotShop will advance the work commenced by Lynxmotion, and will continue to operate for fulfilling the expectations of the community.
