Monico has launched a new Programmable Remote Annunicator. It is capable of leveraging the capabilities of the CDL Gateway.
CDL Gateway is the only product that can interpret Caterpillar’s proprietary engine protocols. These capabilities are then optimized with an HMI to construct an annunciator panel for Caterpillar engines and gensets. In order to have a better annunciation on any industrial engine, the Annunciator can be combined with J1939 Gateway or Custom Protocol Converter.
Designed with a 6-in touch screen, the Programmable Remote Annunciator is specially programmed to report general events on industrial engines, applicable over the Ethernet or serial networks. The standard product indicates common warnings and shutdowns. The annunciator incorporates a HMI screen that can also be viewed remotely through a virtual HMI. In addition, a quick reference to basic engine and generator data has also been included. The LED illuminates indicating a particular event with an associated ‘General Warning’ or ‘General Shutdown’. The specific faults can then be scrutinized, which upon integration with basic engine or generator data, generates a powerful solution for determining the requirements of annunciator, at once.
Optional I/O Modules give rise to annunciating any digital input signal followed by an annunciated digital output. The specific needs of the customers can be met with the versatile solution that results from custom programming.
In response to the annunciator product demand from a Caterpillar dealer, the development initiative for this product began during 2011 fall. With several months of programming and testing, the Programmable Remote Annunciator was fabricated and developed through which industrial engine can experience the advantages of an annunciator panel both remotely and on site.
