Airgas along with its Advanced Fabrication Technologies group will be displaying its automated solutions for metal fabrication at FABTECH 2011. FABTECH 2011 is the largest platform, which brings together metal forming, welding, fabricating and finishing technologies together.
The event is scheduled to be held on November 17 at Chicago. Events such as FABTECH will help in bringing various metal fabrication technologies to the fore and in highlighting the output quality, cost and operational efficiency factors of each technology.
The President of Airgas explained that their customers are mainly looking for automation solutions in metal fabrication, which proves more advantageous in terms of cost and technical competence. He added that Airgas conducts a thorough study of the customer’s system and then proposes the right automation solution, which is in-line with the customer’s goals. Airgas also supplies the necessary source equipment and training and maintenance services. Apart from providing automation solutions, Airgas also assists the customers in providing them supply chain management for the gases, consumables and safety fabricators. Airgas will be providing live demonstrations of its products, which include Miller PA 250 PerformArc Robotic Welder that works using Airgas Gold Gas shielding gases, automated vending with Acu-Vend system and plasma cutting technologies using the RETRO-Systems Mini Hornet Plasma Cutting Table. The ProHeat Induction heating system, Key Plant Fixed Automation Cladding system, SubArc Tractor and gas mixing panels will also be displayed at FABTECH by Airgas.
