Flight Demonstration of RQ-4 Global Hawk Unmanned Aircraft Using New Control System

Northrop Grumman Corporation successfully flew a RQ-4 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft for the first time using open architecture-based command and control software and hardware developed by the company, moving the company one step closer to offering its common Mission Management Control System (MMCS) product, which can be implemented across various unmanned aircraft systems (UASs) to improve mission effectiveness and reduce training requirements.

Elbit Systems Announces Joint Collaboration to Pursue UAS Projects in Brazil

Elbit Systems Ltd. ("Elbit Systems") announced today that its subsidiary in Brazil, AEL Sistemas S.A. ("AEL"), and Embraer Defesa e Segurança S.A. ("Embraer Defesa") have signed an agreement for the entrance of Avibras Divisão Aérea e Naval S.A. ("Avibras") as a shareholder of Harpia Sistemas S.A. ("Harpia"), envisaging joint collaboration on Unmanned Aircraft Systems ("UAS") in Brazil. According to the agreement, Avibras will hold a 9% stake of the shareholdings in Harpia, resulting in AEL owning 40% of Harpia's shares, with Embraer Defesa remaining as the major shareholder, with 51% of the shares.
