A voice with a New Zealand accent is being developed for robots by Dr Catherine Watson and her research team at the Auckland University. The research is based on accents perceived as trustworthy or authoritative and most easily understood by people.

Nevada Says Yes to Driverless Cars

The state of Nevada has passed a bill approving driverless cars on its roads. The Assembly Bill 511 is the first such legislation in the country. The Department of Transportation in the state is to now draw up rules to authorize driverless cars.
