Great Innovators Robotics Team Wins Florida Lego League’s Regional Qualifier

‘The Great Innovators’, robotics team formed by fourth and fifth graders of Walker Elementary School bagged first prize in the regional qualifier of the Florida Logo League. Davidson Middle School robotics team hosted the contest.

The team was given the ‘Gracious Professionalism’ award by the judges of the contest. The judges include Panhandle-based 14 elementary and middle school teams. This victory has enabled the Great Innovators team to participate in the FIRST regional contest.

Bretta Berger, Coach of the Great Innovators and a teacher at Walker Elementary School, has mentioned that their team outperformed other teams in this well-planned robotics contest. She added that the contest is all about fun-based learning and developing optimistic teamwork skill-set than about winning the contest.
