University of Arizona Student Develops Hexapod Robot

Matt Bunting, student of the University of Arizona’s Robotics and Neural Laboratory program, has developed a robotic hexapod.

The robot can walk with the help of six legs. Intel, computer processing firm, came across this new innovation and decided to utilize this opportunity to promote their new ‘Atom’ processor. The robot is now termed as Intel Hexapod and is traveling across the nation.

Matt Bunting has stated that he wished to develop a robotic hexapod from the time when he was in the Middle School. He added that he has been enthralled with robotics ever since he developed his first robot.

The student has been awarded a research position along with ‘A’ grade in his academics.
