Bluefin Robotics, major developer of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) has declared a regional collaboration with Harvey-Lynch, Strafford-based subsea machinery solutions supplier.

As per the contract, Harvey-Lynch will support and sell products of Bluefin Robotics in the regions of Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida, with an emphasis on the Gulf of Mexico market. The contract brings to light the significance of low-cost and efficient AUVs in subsea engineering research.

Phil Howells, President of Harvey-Lynch, has stated that their collaboration with Bluefin is a perfect fit and their company will serve the significant requirements of their clients by working with sales and support teams of Bluefin Robotics.

The collaboration is part of Bluefin Robotics’ two-year initiative to widen their business both locally and globally into the commercial survey segment. In order to increase productivity, the company has shifted its manufacturing facilities to a waterfront area and increased its production and analysis space twice.

According to Michael Donovan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bluefin Robotics, Harvey-Lynch has perfect understanding of the requirements of its  Gulf of Mexico clients. He added that he believes that the Bluefin/Harvey-Lynch partnership will be highly beneficial not only for both the companies but also for their clients.
