Accuray has declared that it has organized a Medical Affairs function to improve CyberKnife information collection, deployment, referral schemes and tactical guidance on clinical procedures, inventions and proposals.
Medical Affairs function will augment medical research by not only assisting and upgrading medical procedures and clinical investigations worldwide but also intensifying its association with major global medical leaders and academic organizations.
Euan S. Thomson, President and CEO of Accuray, has stated that Medical Affairs depicts another positive move in their current mission towards R&D, invention and client support. He added that they hope that this function will serve a major role in assisting their clients in accomplishing future medical applications.
The Medical Affairs function will be headed by Omar Dawood, Surgeon and Radiologist, who has been leading the Clinical Development team of Accuray for the last few years. The function will concentrate on interpreting the requirements of global clinicians and assisting their initiatives to improve radiosurgery and patient safety.
