New Family of Line Scan Cameras for Machine Vision Applications from Teledyne DALSA

Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and global leader in machine vision, today introduced a new family of low-cost, high-value line scan cameras – the Linea™ series. The feature-rich Linea cameras address the mainstream market for machine vision applications by delivering high speed and flexibility in an affordable package.

Teledyne DALSA lowers the barrier to high performance line scan imaging for machine vision.

With advanced Teledyne DALSA CMOS line scan sensor technology in a compact form factor, customers gain feature-rich technology at an unprecedented price point. Available in 2K and 4K resolution, the first of the Linea monochrome cameras deliver fast line rates of 80 kHz and high sensitivity. List price for the 2k and 4k monochrome models is $1500 and $1800 respectively.

“The Linea line scan family sets a new entry point for those looking to take advantage of Teledyne DALSA’s high-performance cameras at an extremely competitive price,” said Behnam Rashidian, Senior Product Manager. “We’re pleased to offer customers speed, sensitivity and a great price with this new line scan family – with a Camera Link interface today and GigE Vision models to follow.”

These small, affordable, low-power Linea cameras are ideal for general machine vision applications such as OEM postal and parcel inspection, materials grading, food and web inspection, transportation safety, and pharmaceutical inspection. Linea will be on display at the AIA Vision Show, Booth 317, April 15-17. Visit the Linea product page and for full resolution images, visit our media kit.
