Conrad Develops Robotic Bike Lock

Conrad, a German electronics company, has launched a robot for protecting bikes from stealers. The portable robot includes a motorized skateboard with wheels.

Robotic Bike Lock

It can be remotely controlled to mount the bike on a nearby lamp post, making it inconvenient for a thief to get on to the bicycle.

Last year, a Royal College of Art student, named Dominic Hargreaves, developed a method to tackle bike theft. He developed a bike cradle, and placed the front wheel of the bike into it and after locking it in position he pulled the bicycle up to a height of 2.5 m up a nearby wall.
