Simplimatic Automation has developed an automated puck washer offering the most competent solution for washing pucks that are utilized on filling production lines more quickly and efficiently.
Pucks are utilized for holding production-line containers and significantly minimize idle time of the machine by avoiding the requirement of several changeovers for diverse container profiles. But due to prolonged use these pucks can become dirty due to spattered dust and liquids resulting in the movement of dust to the products and creating a negative impact on the product quality. Washing pucks manually will be unproductive if not done frequently and thoroughly. Also the recurring exposure to dirt can potentially cause contact dermatitis for the workers. Also this method enhances the possibility that the unclean pucks will result in increased machine idle time and diminished machine capability on the production line.
The washing process includes four cycles including pre-wash, wash, rinse and dry. It also offers extra features dealing with the requirements of the clients, saving energy and time and securing workers from repeated contact with hazardous chemicals.
Tom DiNardo, President of Simplimatic Automation, has stated that the automated puck washer substitutes an incompetent manual cleaning method that affects human skin. He added that pucks have helped industries to make use of novel packaging models for product promotion and the automated machine offers a quick and low-cost solution for the packaging industry.
