Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its Unmanned Systems Solutions (USS) division has recently been awarded contracts totaling $6.1 million to provide specialized products in support of certain National Security programs. The equipment is being produced in a secure Kratos manufacturing facility. No additional information related to these recent contract awards is being provided due to customer specific, program related and other sensitivities.
Eric DeMarco, President and CEO of Kratos, commented, "As we begin 2013, approximately 70 percent of Kratos business is related to the manufacture, production or support of specialized or technology based products supporting United States or Allied Country's National Security priority areas. Additionally, a significant portion of Kratos business is focused on strategic platforms and programs, including unmanned aerial systems, ballistic missile defense, electronic warfare, satellite communications, and aerial targets or drones, where Kratos products are designed-in and critical to the overall system and mission. These recent contract awards are directly related to Kratos strategic focus on specialized products in support of mission critical National Security programs."
