Robotic Water-Cooled MIG Gun Facilitates Demanding Welding Tasks

Tregaskiss, a leading industry involved in the manufacture and supply of MIG welding guns and peripherals, has launched TOUGH GUN Robotic Water-Cooled MIG gun which is ideal for extremely demanding soldering applications that require maximum cooling.

In addition to having a water-cooled power cable, the high-flow gooseneck features four cooling channels that facilitate the MIG gun or the TOUGH GUN to provide significant cooling effect to the front-end components and extending their shelf life. The heavy-duty cable provides a strong support for the liner, resulting in smooth and consistent wire feeding with minimal maintenance.

Based on the patented TOUGH LOCK Contact Tips and QUICK LOAD Liners, Tregaskiss' Common Consumable Platform is used by the Tough Gun which enables the use of the same consumables for all types of robotic MIG guns resulting in reduced inventory and increased productivity. Other features include quickly replaceable components, durable stainless steel docking body and easy access to the front casing and cable connections.

Tough gun shows a welding efficiency of 600 amps with 100% duty efficiency when welding with CO2 shielding gas and 60% duty cycle is reported with the gas mixture. Research and development testing performed by Tregaskiss has shown that the new MIG gun is ideal for thick-plate welding, thereby finding its major role in the heavy-equipment production sector. It was reported that by the end of this year, this versatility of TOUGH GUN Robotic Water-Cooled MIG gun can effectively replace the existing MIG Welding guns of Tregaskiss including TOUGH GUN Quick Change Water-Cooled (QCWC) and Keyed Water-Cooled (KWC) Robotic MIG Guns.
