Mazor Robotics Expands within India through Advanced Medical Systems PTE

Mazor Robotics, an innovator of revolutionary surgical robots and complementary products recently declared that its Renaissance system has achieved orders from the company’s distribution partner in India, Advanced Medical Systems PTE (AMS). Apollo Hospitals Chennai will have this system being installed in its hospital facility.

AMS, a supplier of medical utilities and services provides multi-disciplinary solutions for Asia Pacific region-based medical centers. It is the unique organization that extends absolute range of services needed for user training, facility planning, customer support, and technology implementation.

Founded in 1983, Apollo Hospitals Chennai operates with 60 departments led by globally -trained doctors supported by expert patient-care personnel. This hospital is the chief hospital among the Apollo Group. It seamlessly operates to be one of Asia’s largest healthcare groups having more than 8500 beds in over 50 hospitals.

According to the president and CEO of AMS, Romesh Kaul, with increasing demand for quality healthcare, the medical device analysts estimate growth rates in the Asia Pacific region wherein India represents 23% of the overall medical device growth rate. Collaboration with Mazor enables the company to bring advanced spinal robotics technology to that specific region.

CEO of Mazor, Ori Hadomi stated that the entry of Renaissance system within India represents Mazor’s first active system in Asia. The company is delighted to partnering with Apollo Hospitals Chennai and Advanced Medical Systems. The hospital’s commitment to deliver advanced medical care is well established, with the Mazor’s technology being adopted to provide the patients with improved care and hope for better outcomes.
