Quiet Logistics, a firm focused on delivering high-quality eCommerce fulfillment for the finest brands in health and beauty, fashion and apparel, and home goods divisions, declared that it has further invested in Kiva Systems warehouse automation technology.
The overall investment encompasses 93 robots, 3,100 storage pods, and 13 work stations, through which Quiet Logistics can extend its complimentary west coast capacity, in addition to developing its east coast capacity.
According to the CEO of Quiet Logistics, Bruce Welty, the firm has achieved excellent levels of fulfillment service and its clients are now investigating geographic options and coverage such as 1-2 day ground shipping options that extend to east and west coasts. With this latest investment, Quiet Logistics can have more versatility and confidence to advance its expansion in existing geographies and also develop new ones on demand.
At present, Quiet Logistics is developing a west coast QuietCenter which will be ready for operation during the Q1 of 2013. The customers of New Quiet Logistics include Nasty Gal, a rapidly growing women’s fashion etailer, and the recently launched online men’s fashion brand Peter Manning and Mack Weldon, which is the latest on-line concept for men’s basics.
