A new collaboration between Mimic Technologies and Florida Hospital Celebration Health will complement the renowned Nicholson Center with the addition of the latest robotic simulation training technology. Following this agreement, surgeons using da Vinci robot will have access to better surgical training.
The da Vinci is a complex surgical device that assures operational efficiency when used dexterously. New training improvements for the center will assemble surgical teams, physicians, surgeons, and other health professionals to develop latest technologies, carry out research and to foster products, techniques, and processes for creating advancement in robotic surgery. Simulation training is increasingly employed as hospitals are looking to reduce the learning phase related to robotic surgery. Florida Hospital has received the latest simulation technology from Mimic Technologies, which is known for da Vinci robot simulation.
Mimic plays a major role is fostering simulation-based curricula that promotes rapid adoption of the latest robotic techniques and technologies. Medical robotics-based R&D projects will provide improved training and innovation for the global community.
At present, more than 2,200 da Vinci Systems have been installed in over 1,500 hospitals globally. The da Vinci System has been included in an extensive range of surgeries. The new simulator technology will promote quick operating capabilities to the actual da Vinci device. Robotic simulation training minimizes costs, as simulation training requires no disposable instruments or training material. Surgeons who are new to robotic method can also improve their efficiency.
Besides research collaboration, Mimic Technologies will recruit dV-Trainers for conducting simulation-based robotics classes at Florida Hospital. The simulators deploy independently-proven exercises constructed on a surgical simulation platform that provides practical training scenarios to surgeons.
