Containers Maes, the Belgium-based innovator in sustainable recycling, is all set to install the globally available ZenRobotics Recycler, the first robotic recycling system ever introduced.
The Maes facility, which is proximal to the corporate HQ in Tessenderlo, Belgium, will receive the first international installation of ZenRobotics Recycler within 2012 last quarter. The overall value of the order amounts to over € 1M.
The ZenRobotics Recycler system includes the artificial intelligence- powered control system termed ZenRobotics Brain, a dynamic conveyor belt feeding system, the recovered fractions container bays, a unique sensors package, and the robotic picking cell. This integrated technology facilitates sorting of stone, wood, and metal fractions that result from the construction and demolition waste stream. Containers Maes will operate the system on solar power for the first time.
Environmental Director of Containers Maes, Werner Willemoons said that the firm anticipates creating a revolution as the future of recycling depends on innovative technologies and high efficiency. ZenRobotics Recycler is the ideal technology among all those available in the field.
The CEO of ZenRobotics, Juho Malmberg said that ZenRobotics Recycler has been well-established in the Belgium market, and Containers Maes is an idealistic, innovative recycling company with full potential.
