Mazor Robotics, an innovator of novel surgical robots, has recently declared that its Renaissance system has been procured by a HCA Virginia health system hospital, Reston Hospital Center. Known as Mazor’s next-generation robotic surgical guidance system, the Renaissance can be ideally deployed for spine surgeries.
Reston Hospital Center is a well-established surgical hospital and full service medical center based in Northern Virginia and has been providing efficient operational service since 1986. HCA is nation’s quality provider of expertise healthcare services. It has 157 hospitals under function with over 100 freestanding surgery centers in London, England, and 20 other states.
Spine surgeon, Dhruv B. Pateder, MD stated that the incorporation of robotic technology will enable the facility to deliver advanced spine surgery. Being an expert in minimally invasive spinal surgery, Dr. Pateder feels that the Mazor robotic system provides enhanced precision and redefines the existing minimally invasive procedures, creating improvement in patient recovery, safety, and outcomes.
Mazor Robotics CEO, Ori Hadomi, the company is pleased to deliver the Renaissance System platform to Virginia, marking the first installation at the Reston Hospital Center. Reston Hospital Center and the local geographic region have been renowned users of innovative technologies that will lead to better and effective patient care. The installation of Renaissance System within the HCA healthcare network marks Mazor Robotics’ first installation within Virginia.
