PCS Edventures!.com, an organizer of K-16 programs based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) declared that Family Focus, a non-profit organization in Chicago has placed an order for PCS Robotics programs.
The major objective of Family Focus is to support and ensure the welfare of children from birth by providing the families with support through seven direct service centers across Chicago.
According to Dee Dee Pacheco, Family Focus Community Schools Instruction and Partnership Coordinator, Family Focus will offer innovative learning opportunities to promote 21st Century skill development for Chicagoland youth. Robotic Clubs were established at four sites. Following increased skill and expertise, these robotics programs will be expanded to 16 more sites. The PCS Edventures! robotics curricula will benefit over 600 students belonging to grades 3-12.
PCS CEO, Robert Grover said that the global educational robotics marketplace has been growing with the sale of educational kit. The sale has been estimated to achieve $1.69B by 2014. The company will be established in a place that includes decades of expertise, eleven full volumes of robotics, engineering, and electronics curriculum, a complete educational robotics solution, and several extension and support activities. The company is pleased with the addition of Family Focus among its extensive family of 7,000 partner sites and anticipates extending dynamic support and exclusive products to the members of Family Focus.
The robotics program order amounts to a value of $48,568, wherein its materials will be used by students during this summer.
