WellAware Systems, a supplier of sophisticated remote patient monitoring systems for providers of senior care solutions, has been chosen as one of the 12 finalists from a total of 167 firms nominated in the 2012 TripleTree iAwards.
WellAware Systems was chosen as a finalist for Wireless Health under the Consumer Innovation category. The company demonstrated its remote patient monitoring solution at the Wireless Health Convergence Summit conducted on May 24, 2012 in San Diego, California.
WellAware’s sophisticated remote patient monitoring system is designed to observe the wellness of seniors and finds variations in patterns such as activity level, bathroom visits, and sleep quality. The solution uses a combination of non-invasive technology, proprietary algorithms and data analytics to provide data to care providers, who can make proactive caretaking decisions prior to emergent health conditions developing into serious conditions. It reduces hospitalizations and enhances cost and quality of care.
WellAware Systems’ Chief Executive Officer, Teresa DiMarco stated that it is an honor to the company to be chosen as a finalist in the 2012 TripleTree iAwards from a pool of 167 healthcare innovators. TripleTree’s award for healthcare innovation will encourage wide adoption of systems such as WellAware’s remote patient monitoring systems that enhance health care results and cost-efficiency.
