The Robotic Industries Association (RIA) has presented a new Certified Robot Integrator for Tennessee Rand, R Automation, Motion Controls Robotics, and Wolf Robotics, who have been honored to be the first four robotic integrators to receive the designation.
RIA’s President, Jeff Burnstein says that the industry is pleased to declare the first group of Certified Robotic Integrators. Being honored as certified integrators requires qualifying from a rigorous process which involves safety training and hands-on testing of key personnel, on-site audit, and many more. In response to the industrial feedback, the firm anticipates achieving the certification that will inspire the integrators to exhibit their potentials and expertise equally to both suppliers and customers.
Burnstein further added that through this program, integrators can target their own processes against outstanding industry practices. In addition, integrators can also identify their potential areas. The industry can be improved by making the overall integrator channel more powerful.
Each certified integrator is expected to be recertified every two years.
RIA, established in 1974, currently includes over 280 robot manufacturers, component suppliers, system integrators, educational institutions, end user, research groups, and consulting firms. RIA is familiar for its biennial Automate Show and Conference, the next event to be held from January 21-24, 2013 in Chicago; the ANSI/RIA National Robot Safety Standard and annual National Robot Safety Conference in Indianapolis from September 24-26, 2012; and the annual Robotics Industry Forum in Orlando from February 20-22, 2013.
