Hansen Medical, an innovator of robotic technology that enables accurate 3D control of catheter movement recently declared that it will demonstrate its Sensei X Robotic Catheter System during the 33rd Annual Scientific Sessions of the Heart Rhythm Society, scheduled from May 9 to 12, 2012 in Boston. In addition, Hansen will display a software release that is soon to be introduced for the Sensei X Robotic Catheter System.
An updated CoHesion Module is a major component of this upcoming software release. The module integrates the precision of 3D catheter control with the image of 3D electro anatomical mapping to determine the potential of instinctive motion. It readily combines with EnSite Velocity 3.0 Cardiac Mapping System from St. Jude Medical. Furthermore, the software consists of user interface modifications through which electrophysiologists (EPs) can have instinctive 3D catheter control while deploying CoHesion Module-devoid 3D mapping systems such as Biosense Webster's CARTO Navigation System.
During the Heart Rhythm Society's Scientific event, presentations will be conducted by Professor Michael Mangrum, M.D. and Dr. Andrea Natale, St. David's Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute’s executive director.
Hansen Medical’s advanced Sensei X Robotic Catheter System is a combination of advanced levels of 3D catheter control and 3D visualization. This exceptional and innovative technology is incorporated with a high-precision robotically controlled arm that enables the movement of catheter within the patient's heart. This newly developed Sensei X Robotic Catheter System ensures excellent catheter stability with force-Sensing, minimal fluoro time for Physician and instinctive 3D control.
