Mason Peck, the Chief Technologist at NASA, will pay a visit to the Honeybee Robotics in Pasadena, California, on Wednesday, March 14.
The CTO’s visit will emphasize how government can collaborate with small business to enable future job opportunities via investments in science and technology.
Located at 398 West Washington Blvd. in Pasadena, California, Honeybee Robotics will welcome Peck at its facility at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Honeybee Robotics has served the recent three Mars missions as a technology supplier. It has achieved multiple NASA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awards, to its credit. With the prestigious awards, Honeybee intends to develop methodologies and systems that can contribute to efficient operations in the future missions at NASA, besides achieving massive potentials in the commercial markets. The industrial or aerospace applications of the mechanisms developed at Honeybee include excavation and drilling tools for effective use in complex environments on Earth and various other planets.
During the event, Peck, along with senior company officials, will communicate with tour facilities and reporters.
