RMT Robotics, a Cimcorp Oy company known for producing and integrating ADAMTM autonomous mobile robots will exhibit their recent innovation in ADAMTM lean manufacturing applications at LogiMAT 2012, scheduled between March 13 and 15 in Stuttgart, Germany.
ADAM’s European sales representatives RMT and eepos Nord will showcase the live operation of two ADAM mobile robots that is capable of avoiding obstacles and can move around the space freely, confidently and carefully without using any magnetic tape, wires, reflective or RFID targets. An exceptional lean manufacturing application will be manifested with each ADAM unit such as Connecting Islands of Automation with Mobile Robots, wherein a single ADAM will mark a conveyor top indicating its ability of automatic transfer of materials between an advanced, absolute production machinery; Connecting People with Mobile Robots, in which one ADAM will characterize a kitting fixture to prove its efficiency to independently transport work-in-process materials between storage, manual assembly operations and kitting.
According to the director of sales and marketing, RMT Robotics Bill Torrens, the LogiMAT intralogistics exhibition in Europe is the right place to accentuate the efficiencies and lean manufacturing practices of ADAM solution, thereby enabling its market promotion.
Established in 1981, RMT Robotics fabricates and integrates turnkey robotic gantry-based order fulfillment solutions facilitates streamline distribution operations with minimal operating costs. Furthermore, the category-defining intelligent mobile robot ADAM has been designed, constructed and developed by RMT Robotics. Following the operation of intelligent robotic transport of materials from a random origin to a random destination industrial environment, the ADAM system optimizes the performance of industrial AGV’s.
