The Government of Canada is providing financial assistance to AV&R Vision and Robotics in order to commercialise its 3-D automated visual inspection solution for machine parts in an international level.
This is part of the government’s efforts to provide support to the Canadian economy to increase its competitiveness and growth rate. The announcement was made by the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada, Denis Lebel.
The financial assistance will be provided amounting to $350,000 through the Business and Regional Growth program of Canada Economic Development. AV&R Vision and Robotics specialises in the development of complex automation solutions. The company provides solutions such as 2-D automated visual inspection of part surfaces and robotic machining and finishing of parts. After extensive research and development, the company has come up with the present solution, which is a combination of three dimensional visual inspection and robotics.
Commercialisation of the new solution will initially be targeted at foreign markets specifically to the aerospace industry. According to Denis Lebel, this financial assistance will help the company in taking its advanced technology and products to the export market.
