Italian company, Trafalgar S.p.A and Applied Robotics have formed a joint venture subsidiary called Applied Robotics Europe, which will mainly cater to the European market. The subsidiary company will offer innovative robotic and automation solutions to a number of industrial sectors across Europe.
Trafalgar, S.p.A. specializes in robotic and automation grippers, while Applied Robotics provides automation solutions for robotic connectivity, tooling and other related technology.
Both the companies have equal ownership in the joint venture, which is headquartered in San Maurizio d’Opaglio, Italy. It will provide sales product support and also control the European based production. The joint venture will offer sophisticated engineering solutions in the automation sector via a local presence and will support Applied Robotics’ current European Distribution Partners that include PTM and Tuenkers in Germany, Berga Maskin AB in Sweden, PES in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Netherlands, and Turkey; JKE Robotics in Portugal and Spain; and AIMS in the UK.
Applied Robotics’ President and CEO, Mike Quinn stated that the joint venture was a culmination of years of partnership between Applied Robotics, Trafalgar and Tecnomors. The companies have worked together for almost 10 years and now are joining forces to cater to the European market.
Applied Robotics Europe’s General Manager, Giovanni Patrini stated that the company is happy to expand its niche with Applied Robotics whose engineering expertise and Tecnomors’ experience in providing industrial automation solutions to the European markets make a powerful combination.
