BeatBots Collaborate with UK Toy Manufacturer to Create My Keepon Interactive Robot

Wow! Stuff, a toy manufacturing company based in UK has created My Keepon in collaboration with BeatBots, which is a robot designer based in US. My Keepon is a new cute robotic toy which is highly curious and can be squeezed and touched.

The toy is of an interactive type which demands attention and physical touch. My Keepon is also capable of making dance movements. My Keepon is yellow in colour and looks like two tennis balls kept on one another.

The VP of Toys”R”Us is of the opinion that My Keepon is capable of impressing the buyers and expects it to be the topper in the wish list of kids for the holiday season. My Keepon can be operated in two modes, namely, touch and dance modes. In the touch mode, the numerous touch sensors that are placed at various places beneath its skin respond to squeezing, patting or even tickling. The robot toy reacts by making sounds or giggling or expressing its moods such as sleepy, sad, annoyance or being content. In the dance mode the toy dances to the musical tunes that are picked up by the microphone fitted on its nose. The toy changes its movements according to the tempo and rhythm of the music being played, from slow ballads to high-energy pop music. My Keepon is designed on the same lines as My Keepon Pro, which is a research robot that was created by two scientists at BeatBots. The My Keepon Pro has till now been used in playrooms to study social development and autism in children. The fun version of this research toy is the My Keepon which can be used by children at any home for interactive play.
