AMX has bagged the Europe Product Line Strategy Award for its Building Automation Systems for the year 2011. Through the award winning product line the company was able to provide automation solutions to a broad range of buildings, including non-residential buildings.
NeethaJayanth who is a research analyst with Frost & Sullivan pointed out that automation solutions from AMX stand out due to the exceptional quality and the after sales service that they offer.
The building automation solutions from AMX are designed to meet specific needs of different types of buildings. The solutions cater to as many as 11 kinds of markets in the industry covering non-residential and residential types. The product range offers solutions to niche market segments like offshore facilities, places of worship and private transport places. Apart from these the automation solutions meet the needs of healthcare, government, hotels and other buildings. NeethaJayanth observed that products from AMX were successful in catering to the main requirements of the building occupants and also helps in conservation of energy and minimise the overall outlays. One such example of providing efficient automation solution is the manner in which AMX integrated multiple rooms under the automation plan and automating functions like ventilation, air conditioning and lighting which helped facility management in a big way. Another example is integration of the audio-visual systems at the Greenwich University across 100 classrooms and a lecture hall. Apart from the AV system other systems like energy management, occupancy sensing etc were also integrated.
The Frost & Sullivan awards aim at recognising companies across a wide range of markets at the regional and global level. The Product Line Strategy award in particular is presented to the company which has performed exceptionally in areas such as the expansion of its product line, impact on customer value, range of applications and the markets that it caters to.
