da Vinci Surgical System

The hospital launched a robotic surgical method for weight loss at their Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. This is the first robotic surgery program introduced in Southern Nevada for weight loss.

Will Wagnon, the CEO of MountainView Hospital, is of the opinion that the da Vinci Robotic System when operated by their team of expert physicians is bound to benefit the patients. He added that by offering robotic surgery option to their patients, they reiterate on their commitment towards the community in providing them the latest in minimally invasive surgery. Robot assisted surgical methods provide benefits such as reduced pain, lesser loss of blood and short recovery time. Most health insurance plans cover robotic surgery costs. The physicians operating the da Vinci system are able to conduct surgeries with utmost precision and exercise controlled moves during complex surgeries. Physicians qualified to perform robotic surgery at the Hospital have undergone training at the national facility and are familiar with the usage of the simulation system present at the hospital premises. The simulator can be fitted to the physician’s monitor at a convenient time either before or after the surgery.
