Wall-E Robot Comes to Life

Remember Wall-E from the Disney Pixar movie? Well he’s back and he’s real. Catch his very real dance moves on YouTube uploaded by user aliencurv if you don’t believe me. DJ Sures is the Canadian guy who took one of the plastic Wall–E toys and jazzed it up to become a real robot.

The REAL Wall-E Robot

The Wall-E robot can dance, track colors, motion, and recognize faces, and also obey voice commands which ask him to look up. DJ Sures built the robot using the EZ-builder robot package. He even managed to match the voice of the robot to the one in the movie.

The Wall-E bot has a camera for an eye, voice recognition, and object tracking. The robot also uses an EZ-B Bluetooth Robot controll and the software functions use the EZ-Builder software that is included with the robot controller hardware. Inside the robot are five different servos and an eBay procured 2.4GHz wireless camera.
