Annual Military Robotics Forum to Discuss Latest Robotics Technologies for Soldier Safety

The topics that will be discussed at the 4th Annual Military Robotics Forum include the latest developments in robotic technology for the safety, security and efficient performance of the war fighter. Apart from these topics, brief discussions will be held on the role of robotic systems in improving soldier safety and the protection of key assets.

Countries like the US and UK will be sending their representatives to participate in the forum. Colonel Mike Winstead from the US Army Capabilities Integration Center will be providing the outline
of the US Army Long Term UGV Strategy. He will also be briefing about the Unmanned Ground Vehicle Campaign Plan and pointing out the similarities with the Unmanned Aircraft System Roadmap 2010-2035. Lieutenant Colonel, Andy Stevens from the UK Defense Academy will be detailing on how the UK MoD UGV explosive ordnance evolved and how they have been used for EOD operations.

Role of the autonomous systems in ISR mission in the German army will also be explored at the forum. Colonel Andreas Mosethin will be presenting on the German army’s ISR UGV competence needs and the current advancements in the projects to deal with capability breaches.
