Accuray, a company that manufactures radiosurgery systems, declared that Euan S. Thomson, its president and CEO, will make a presentation at the Jefferies' 2011 Global Healthcare Conference to be held in New York City on June 7, 2011.
The CyberKnife Robotic Radiosurgery System was specifically developed for the purpose of non-invasive tumor treatment at any place in the human body.
With computer enabled robotic mobility and continuous image guidance technology, the CyberKnife System can be used to monitor, correct, and locate movements of the tumor and patient in real-time. As a result, the CyberKnife System emits high levels of radiation with exact accuracy, which helps to reduce damage to healthy tissues. A body or head stabilization frame is not required.
The Company's website will host a live webcast of the presentation. The replay of the presentation will happen approximately one hour after the live presentation concludes and it will be available for about 30 days online.
