Schneider Packaging Equipment, a specialist in end-of-line solutions for case packing and palletizing needs, would display a Robox Vi/Spider Series, consisting of two FANUC Robotics Delta robots at the Automate SM 2011 along with ProMat 2011 at the McCormick Place at Chicago.
The robots were created for specialty high-speed pick and place, case-packing and cartooning applications.
Schneider’s solutions focus on smaller footprint, lower total cost of ownership, energy savings, and rapid changeover along with sustained operations with high operating efficiency. They have the ability to pack combined packs and also count, sort, orient, pack, align, close, palletize and label them in cost-saving and highly efficient configurations that enhance the quality and packaging efficiency.
Schneider utilizes its four decades of experience in innovation to develop palletizing and automated packing solutions. Further, the Robox Vi/Spider eliminates normal or traditional complex product orientating or handling mechanisms, which significantly enhance the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) via low maintenance, high reliability, ease of operation and fast changeovers.
The Robox Vi/Spider series uses two four-axis spider robots to pick up and insert parts into cases, cartons or trays at compound and simple angles and also twist the components into the proper place at high speeds. This flexible packing ability improves the packaging efficiency and decreases the quantity of packing materials needed, leading to reduced costs and increased sustainability.
According to Terry Zarnowski, who is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Schneider, their customers need higher speeds and greater accuracy to achieve their production targets and the Schneider Robox Vi’s flexibility, accuracy and advanced vision along with the FANUC Robotics Spider’s agile dexterity, flexibility, speed and flexibility help in automation of packaging products of different shapes with more ease than other traditional methods.
The Robox Vi/Spider, similar to all the Schneider Packaging Solutions, works using the company’s advanced features for high performance and easy changeovers and installation.
