SMC Networks and uControl, the leaders in providing automation solutions pertaining to Security, Management and Automation (SMA) applications, have declared that they have received ETA accreditation.
This home security system is promoted by the SMC Ruby brand. It is the first SMA system to get the certification for safety from American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) and is authorized by Intertek. The home security sensors that comply with ZigBee wire-free configuration, driven by Ember chips as well as the touch screen device of these two companies have met ETL standards and received the approval to include the Intertek ETL certification mark.
Todd Babic, CEO of SMC Networks has stated that their home security automaton solutions can comply with the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) utilized at home. He added that their certification symbolizes an important milestone for their company.
Jim Johnson, CEO, uControl has stated that since their inception, their company has been dedicated on supplying the most competent solutions to their clients by partnering with cable and telco.
Following the ETL certification, which authorizes the compliance of the companies’ SMA products with the desired safety norms of North American products, the production site of SMC Networks and uControl have been reviewed. The companies have accepted to cooperate with the periodical assessment for examining their sustained compliance.
Tom Connaughton, Global Director of Life Safety and Security Services at Intertek expressed his pleasure over offering their latest analysis and certification procedures to SMC Networks and uControl. He added that all the organizations took a major collaborative effort in delivering this novel technology to their end users.
