ADNEC to Deploy Visitor-Assistance Robot at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) has announced that soon a robot will be deployed at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The robot will guide attendees within the centre, offering them the required information. Dubbed ‘Reem’, the robot can also offer customized greetings to delegates at the show.

Reem archetype has been recently developed by PAL Robotics. The robot is 1.65 meters tall and its movable base helps it to navigate at the speed of 5km per hour. Its motor-driven head features several functions like vision, face tracing and identification.

In addition, the robot includes several built-in sensors and a multimedia touch screen, providing data in different forms. The robot can even share information by means of a video conference.

Peter Abraam, Executive Director of PAL Robotics, has stated that the Reem robot has been exclusively developed to guide visitors in places like hotels, medical centers, shopping and exhibition centers. He added that their robot will benefit several people who participate in several events organized at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre every year.
