Vstone to Organize Robot Marathon in Japan

Vstone, Japanese provider of robotic solutions, has announced that it will organize ‘Robo Mara Full’, the first ever marathon for robots. The marathon will be conducted in Japan and will begin on February 24.

Only two-legged android robots can participate in the marathon. Around 422 laps must be completed by the robots to travel a distance of 26 miles in an indoor racetrack measuring 110 yards. So far five robots got enrolled for the event to showcase their competency and operability.

The robots can stop only for battery replacements and other maintenance works. The event will continue incessantly for four days and the robot that reaches the finish line on February 27 will be declared as the winner.
