Gene Merewether Wins 2013 Luce Scholarship to Explore Use of Robots in Rescue Operations

Last year, while working as an EMT with the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, Princeton senior Gene Merewether was among a group that responded to calls that a man was struggling in the waters of Lake Carnegie. With rescue boats and dive teams, the first responders scoured the murky lake to no avail before finally calling off the search after sundown. No man was ever found.

Northrop Grumman Demonstrates Radar Data Exchange from Global Hawk to Joint STARS Aircraft

Northrop Grumman Corporation recently completed a successful exchange of radar data during a flight test involving the U.S. Air Force's E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) and the RQ-4B Global Hawk Block 40 unmanned aircraft system. The demonstration was conducted Feb. 25.
