Commercial UAV Expo 2017 to Feature Workshops and Networking Events

The third edition Commercial UAV Expo gets underway on Tuesday, October 24th and event organizers have announced a number of exciting happenings that will take place during the event.

This year will feature more workshops, symposiums, live demonstrations, and trainings than ever before in addition to impressive keynote speakers, networking opportunities, product previews and many other activities. Commercial UAV Expo is expected to draw 2,500 participants, from across 7 vertical industries, who are integrating and operating commercial UAS in their organizations. The event will take place October 24-26 at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

Among other happenings, a few highlights of the event will include:

Workshops & Demonstrations
A number of workshops, symposiums, live demonstrations and trainings will be taking place in conjunction with Commercial UAV Expo. Over the course of the week, companies and organizations including Flyability, AirGon, ASPRS, MicaSense, Pix4D and the Nevada Institute for Autonomous Systems will deliver education opportunities ranging from product training and an outdoor flying demonstration for first responders, to a technical symposium where participants will have the opportunity to attain a UAS Mapping Certification. Networking Events
Attendees and exhibitors will have ample opportunities to connect at the various networking events taking place throughout the week including a kick-off Happy Hour on Tuesday, October 24, on the Exhibit Floor. On Wednesday, October 25, there will be a networking breakfast from 8:00 - 9:00 AM on the Exhibit Floor as well as the Poolside Connect & Happy Hour taking place from 4:30 - 6:00 PM at the Westgate Resort & Casino Pool. Keynote Speakers
On Wednesday, October 25, the main conference program will open with an impressive line-up of keynote presentations to include:

Product Previews
On Tuesday, October 24, full conference pass holders will have the opportunity to learn about the newest supplier advances and best practices for specifying, planning and executing projects in the Product Previews presented by numerous exhibiting companies. University Pavilion
There will be a dedicated area on the Exhibit Floor, the University Pavilion, in which leading Universities specializing in drone research will be exhibiting and sharing their latest research. Furthermore, leading companies from multiple industries have already signed on to attend such as AECOM, Chevron, AT&T, Avangrid, Inc., Google, Intel, Balfour Beatty Construction, BP, City of Los Angeles, New York Police Department, Southern Co., Boeing, Airbus, San Diego Gas & Electric, U.S. Department of Transportation, BNSF Railway along with hundreds of other firms.
