DALSA has launched iNspect Express version 1700, a new software for BOA smart cameras. The new software includes additional features, enhances performance and is user-friendly.
BOA cameras offer low-cost machine vision solutions for several industrial applications. The programming-free interface of the software enables easy set up.
Steve Geraghty, Director of DALSA Industrial Products, has stated that the performance of their BOA cameras improves continuously. He mentioned that the new iNspect Express software enables their BOA cameras to offer better inspection. He added that the new software has also included several latest features demanded by their emerging client base.
The new software includes enhanced calibration devices and tailored algorithms for optical character recognition (OCR), 360º searches and reading of two dimensional matrixes. These features offer better stability and enable to increase speed by 10% in a few industrial applications.
iNspect Express 1700 software is accompanied by the latest PC-based application for revealing outcomes, and images from several BOA smart cameras on a single screen. This application enables users to supervise production, alter job files and assess supervision history of any BOA camera linked to the local network.
The new software also enhances the user-interface. Updated functions and a syntax verifier are included in the incorporated scrip tool. Other upgrades include a new string editor for easy integration with equipment received from a third party and a communicative tool management to help operators in developing programs.
iNspect Express 1700 software will enable the deployment of BOA cameras in tough industrial applications requiring costly solutions. These smart cameras can be availed in different models of speed and resolution. The company will start including the new software in BOA cameras from February 1, 2011.
