German Scientists Develop Robotic Hand

Scientists at the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics (DLR) of German Aerospace Center have developed a robotic hand that can work like a human hand.

The robotic hand incorporates a network of 38 tendons, enabling it to be so resilient under different situations. The robo-hand includes five distinctly working fingers with 19 degrees of freedom. It can apply a force of 30 N from the tip of its fingers.
