McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center Procures da Vinci Robot with Dual Console

McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center has installed a da Vinci surgical robot with a dual console, enabling simultaneous working of two surgeons.

McKenzie-Willamette is the first hospital outside Portland to include this latest technology.

Dr. Zena Monji, OB-GYN, McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, has stated that their surgeons are learning this technology from a certified and trained surgeon, who has performed many such procedures before.

It was reported that since 2006, about 1,000 da Vinci procedures have been performed at the McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center. The da Vinci robot is utilized for treating gynecological and urological problems. The surgeons at the medical center have decided to train surgeons for general, ear, nose and throat procedures as well.
