Bahrain University Student Develops Robot Capable of Receiving Instructions

Mohammed Abdul Jalil Abdul Ali, student of University of Bahrain, has developed a robot that can receive vocal commands. The robot is being developed under the guidance of Dr. Riyadh Al Hakeem at the Computer Engineering Department of the UOB Information Technology College.

Mohammed Abdul Jalil Abdul Ali has mentioned that the robot can comprehend vocal commands in both Arabic and English. The robot can navigate in a particular direction, covering a particular distance. Once all upgrades are done, the robot can understand a few more languages. It can move wheelchairs of disabled people, without the need for them to use their hands for moving it. The robot can also be deployed by industries to move equipments, offering a secure working environment for employees.
