Teledyne DALSA to Showcase High-Performance, Low-Cost GigE Vision Cameras at ITE Japan 2015

Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and global leader in machine vision technology, will showcase its high performance low-cost CMOS area and line scan cameras at the International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology and Equipment 2015 (ITE Japan 2015).

The show takes place December 2-4 at the Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan. In addition to its GigE Vision cameras, Teledyne DALSA will showcase its new long-wave Infrared (LWIR) camera, Calibir and the industry’s first line scan polarization camera in booth D-01.

An overview follows:

The Genie Nano series is comprised of affordable, easy-to-use GigE Vision cameras that combine industry leading CMOS image sensors including the Sony Pregius and On Semiconductor Python built around a fully optimized camera platform to deliver high frame rates and powerful features in a tiny, robust form factor.

The Linea line scan series includes Teledyne DALSA’s newest CMOS image sensors in 2, 4 and 8k resolutions with a GigE Vision or Camera Link® interface. The new Linea 16k Camera Link model will be featured in a working demo combined with the new Xtium CL MX4 frame grabber. Powerful and flexible, a single Xtium CL MX4 board can support dual, base, medium or full configurations.

The Calibir™ uncooled LWIR camera core will be featured in a “live” demo. With its excellent shutter-less imaging and small, low-power format, the Calibir platform supports multiple interfaces and lenses, while offering a wide range of state-of-the-art on-board processing. Calibir’s thermal imaging core is ideal for a number of today’s uncooled imaging applications including night vision, automotive, security and surveillance.

Attendees are invited to preview the industry’s first polarization line scan camera. In addition to surface and geometry, the polarization camera captures information beyond conventional imaging such as birefringence, stress, roughness and thickness.
