AUVSI Unmanned Systems 2015: Northrop Grumman to Highlight Vast Array of Unmanned Systems

Personnel will be on hand to talk about Northrop Grumman's vast array of unmanned systems in addition to sustainment, modernization and training solutions at the Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems International's (AUVSI) trade show May 5-7 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Visitors to the company's booth (#2219) will have a unique opportunity to engage with unmanned systems in a virtual reality environment.

Media and visitors can try on an Oculus headset that allows them to view one of the company's pre-eminent unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) in a virtual, 3D environment. Northrop Grumman engineers designed and integrated software into an Oculus headset to create a virtual hangar with an incredibly lifelike high altitude long endurance (HALE) UAS inside. With the headset on, users can interact with and walk around the aircraft.

The X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System Demonstration aircraft, which recently completed autonomous aerial refueling, will be part of the company's exhibit. HALE platforms including the MQ-4C Triton, the RQ-4 Global Hawk, NATO's Alliance Ground Surveillance aircraft and NASA Global Hawk will be highlighted, in addition to medium range tactical systems such as the MQ-8C Fire Scout, Bat and R-Bat.

More information is available online at northropgrumman.com/AUVSI and during the show on the company's social media pages.
