OmniBus Systems Adds EAS Integrated Support to its iTX Automation and Transmission Platform

OmniBus Systems and Trilithic collaboration has included completely integrated support for the US Emergency Alert System (EAS) to iTX automation and transmission platform.

With this addition, the airing of every country, state and national-level alerts collected by the Trilithic EASyCAST EAS solution can be automated using the iTX software.

A flashing signal appears on the iTX desktop to notify the arrival of an alert from the EAS to the iTX operator. Once the alert details have been reviewed by the operator, he/she can instantly send an on-air event sequence produced automatically by iTX, along with audio tones and specific text message sent by EASyCAST.

The iTX’ distinctive functionality enables the present on-air schedule to be put on hold or to carry on in a roll-under mode, while airing the alert sequence. This feature offers the broadcaster with an option of carrying on the on-air schedule from the interruption point or joining-in-progress to sustain the schedule timing.
